What if Divination Lots becomes non-functional?

(PS: Divination Lots are usually used in fortune telling to 'predict' the future. It works by randomly picking out one out of the many options, then decipher the meaning behind it. They comes in various forms and one example would be a container, holding numerous bamboo sticks.) 

'Emptiness' is when the Divination Lots loses its function to predict. All the descriptions, whether on the sticks or on the paper slips, are gone. It becomes useless, thus, 'empty' in terms of value. Over here, there is a message to bring across (i.e. non-functional yet meaningful). From what i observed, some people take the results of fortune telling too seriously, causing some of them to be easy targets of scams. Therefore, through this work, I'm trying to say that whether the results of fortune telling is positive or negative, nothing is guaranteed until it happens. After all, what matters is the person. What the person do, how he/she reacts to it, how he/she interpret the divination, will then results in what happens in the future. Sometimes, fortune telling is 'empty' of essence. It doesn't mean anything since at the end of the day, the meaning is interpreted and defined by the person itself, how he/she sees it.
